RTT Hypnotherapy

What does Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT Hypnotherapy) do?
What can I say? The name says it all really. It gives you rapid change (transformation) in areas you want to change. Or as one of my clients said – “it’s the extreme sports version of inner healing!” – feels quite appropriate since I used to teach people to rock climb, abseil, canyon,  canoe and generally “feel the fear but do it anyway”!

I have seen the most phenomenal changes occur from just one session of hypnotherapy. Sometimes with more layered and difficult issues it can take a few sessions, but you are definitely not signing up to a lifetime of weekly talk therapy to find healing.

If you are willing to allow it, RTT Hypnotherapy can get you to the root cause of whatever is holding you back, create an understanding of why it’s there, and how to get rid of it so you can move forward to a very different future. When you have a truly deep understanding of why you are doing what you do, it gives you the opportunity to change your automatic programming to a new way of being.

Put simply, hypnotherapy allows you to find your unhelpful beliefs / motivators / triggers and helps you to eliminate them and replace them with new motivators that serve you better. And by tapping into the subconscious to do that, it gets you deeper, faster. The changes are also held in your subconscious, so the changes are faster and deeper too. It also works for telling your mind to heal your body, relieve pain, remove blocks to physical healing.

What it isn’t!
It is not the hypnosis of TV shows, and movies and no, I will not make you cluck like a chicken or think an onion tastes like a juicy apple! In RTT Hypnotherapy you always have control. It is more like being in a wonderful place of safety and of deep relaxation, where the conscious mind can slip out of gear and let the subconscious drive the car for a while, so you can see what happens when you drive in automatic.

What it is.
Ninety percent of what people do, is not done consciously, we just respond. The pictures you create in your head and the stories you tell yourself, about yourself, dictate that response and therefore dictate, what you do and who you are.

If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got. If you think new thoughts, you do new things, and you get a new life.

So, if you don’t like where you are at, and you want to change something, then you need to find out where these pictures and stories came from, why you are listening to them and how to change them. That’s what hypnotherapy does and then sets you on a path of permanent change.
If you are willing to take the journey it can take you deep into areas of yourself that you have never looked at before and can heal what needs healing. You are gently guided so that you can take that journey in safety, feeling supported all the way, only going where you want to go, knowing you always have the control.
It often reminds me of when I used to teach abseiling – I’d set up all your safety lines, and harness, and we’d have a practice so you knew exactly what was happening, and then you could step over that edge with confidence, having control of your own adventure and you’d feel so exhilarated and liberated at the end!

So what does it help?
Just about anything! Any issue that won’t go away, or stay away and you want it to! It could be anxiety, depression, weight, addiction, relationship issues, fear of anything, pain, illness, PTSD, lack of motivation, trouble making a decision….anything that you don’t seem to be able to sort out for yourself. Together we will find out what is blocking you from being what you want to be, eliminate it, and replace it with what you do want to be. Simple eh?!

Treat Yourself, or
Someone You Love,
to an
Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy Massage
In an aromatherapy massage we discuss what issues you would like to deal with. We then select the most appropriate essential oils to deal with those issues.

You then relax in the soft candle light, listening to the sounds of nature, and let the fragrance of the oils and the healing of the massage release all the stress from your mind and body.

Essential Oils
Each pure essential oil has its own unique chemical composition which, in a massage, interacts with the body's chemistry via absorption or inhalation and so interacts with the body's systems and organs. Each oil also has a unique fragrance, which interacts with the olfactory system. This goes straight to the limbic system, effectively by-passing the logic brain and communicating directly to the emotions, so the oils impact us both physically and emotionally.

Massage
The massage itself also works on multiple levels. Most people believe that an aromatherapy massage is just a nice relaxation massage with essential oils. It is that, but not only that! It can be used to relieve headaches, anxiety, physical and emotional stress, circulation problems, lymphatics, aches and pains, menstrual problems, and neurological damage,

Massage Techniques
An aromatherapy massage incorporates many different massage techniques in the one treatment.
It is designed to assist the absorption of the oils into the body, and to improve lymphatic drainage, the circulation, skin tone, the flow of qi through the meridians, and to stimulate the nerves and regulate the nervous system. It also balances the magnetic energy field of the body and releases negative energy.

So, whilst you lie relaxed, zoned out and enjoying,... your well-being is being nurtured by
a combination of Swedish massage, neuromuscular massage, shiatsu, lymphatic massage, acupressure, polarity therapy, energetics and reflexology.

Come along. Treat yourself to a wonderfully rejuvenating experience and let the healing energy of the hands and the oils join forces, to bring you a deep sense of well-being, on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.

New Clinic Ready!

Finally the new clinic is ready. As usual it took longer than expected but we now have a lovely clinic area, still looking out into the bush, with a small waiting room and sparkling white bathroom! However, we still have lots of space for marching, and testing reflexes for those who are working on brain function issues, with a nice, new,  soft carpet to do it on!

The feedback from clients has been amazingly positive, so thank you all and some pictures are attached for those of you who haven't seen it yet! The sounds of birdsong, and creeks gurgling, remains, of course, the same.

The sad news is that the work outside is still to be done. We are currently working on making the bush rock stairs more even, and in putting new stairs in, so please be careful. We are also still in the process of creating a dedicated parking spot for our clients. In the meantime, please be patient as we continue to make the access more "user friendly" and see the whole as part of the inner journey to healing!

One of my clients said that as she walked down the stairs ,through the smell of the rainforest plants, it was like descending into a different world, a world where anything could happen. As she walked down she shed the worries, and stresses, and made space for healing to happen. After the session, she walked back up out of the valley (physical and metaphorical), back into the everyday world, but everything was different because she was different. It was a true "ascension"!

I was thrilled to hear that, because so often, the road to health, to learning and to being pain free, is a journey, not a "quick fix", and I loved that she could see the effort of going up and down our stairs as part of that journey! A willingness to step out of her comfort zone to achieve health and wellbeing.

So, I look forward to seeing my regular clients again and meeting all you new people out there, and welcoming you into this space for health and healing of all kinds. I am excited about going on your journey with you, wherever it takes you. It will be an adventure.

To start, or continue your journey, call Christie on 0431 618 283. Despite the work still to be done, we are definitely open! We are engaging in the journey now, not waiting for the "right moment" to begin! We try to practice what we preach!

Our Clinic is closed now until January!

We are redecorating the clinic and putting in a new bathroom and waiting room, which is all very exciting for us, but unfortunately does mean that the clinic will be closed until the New Year.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have urgent need to see Christie, please call anyway and we may be able to arrange something with you.

We will post pictures as we progress, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Sinus and Allergies

Sinus and Allergies
The winter season is upon us here in Sydney. Winter sinus issues and colds are raging through the schools, and Spring, the time of wattle flowers and allergies, is just around the corner! So for all those cold and allergy sufferers, there are some simple things you can do to help your self this winter.

There are six acupressure points you can hold which will relieve the pain enormously! To hold all six points at once requires a bit of finger dexterity, but if it is too tricky just hold two either side of the face together and do two at a time.

The points you are holding are called Large Intestine 20, Stomach 2 and Bladder 2, and are on both sides of your face and should be held simultaneously, one hand on each side. You’re sort of aiming for just outside the nostril, just below the eye (there is a small indentation in the bone there—that’s the point), and the inner end of the eyebrow.

The direction you press in is also important. The points outside the nostrils (LI20), should be pressed diagonally upward, as if you’re aiming for your eye on the opposite side. The points below the eye (St 2), should be pressed downward toward the mouth. The ones on the eyebrow (Bl 2) , should be pressed upward toward the top of the head. I find using the index finger on the eyebrows, ring finger or middle finger under the eyes, and pinkie by the nose works well.

Hold the points with a firm touch but it should not be painful. Hold them for either 5 minutes or until you can feel a faint pulsing under your finger tips. The pulsing should be the same through all the points and it should be slow and even...then you know they are in balance with each other.

So, this year beat the colds and allergies with acupressure! You might look a bit odd doing it but you'll be the one laughing when you don't get any sinus issues this year!!
